Friendswood Junior High Mustang Band!

Sarah Bennett is a native of Corpus Christi, TX, where she attended both W.B. Ray and Richard King High School.  It was during high school that she wisely abandoned her plan to go to law school and decided to pursue music education at the University of Houston instead.   She graduated from UH in the Spring of 2007, summa cum laude.

While at UH, Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Spirit of Houston Cougar Marching Band, the Moores School Symphony Orchestra and the Moores School Wind Ensemble, of which she was the principal flutist her senior year.  She studied flute with Dr. Kimberly Clark and has performed in master classes with such artists as Brad Garner and Laurel Zucker.  Her music education teachers include Mr. John Benzer, Mr. Eddie Green and Mr. Tom Bennett.
